I need answers 4th gen 3in cat back dirt cheap.

I found a 4thgen catback setup actually 3 of them with flowmasters two at one bone yard one at another minus the converters. two from Z28's one on a 3.8 which shouldent matter correct? I know the 4th gen Y wont bolt on from these cars but since Im not using a cat I should be able to bolt my Y to this just by replacing a 2 foot peice where the converter was correct? Not a special bend or anything??? straight pipe?? I havent seen these or any 4th gen setups in a while so I need a refresher. From what Ive found here I need to modify 2 mounts and it bolts right up basicly???????????

Thanks

Yea you have to change the nager location but that i sno big deal. The cat mounting locationg is different between the two but you can remedy that with a piece of pipe like you described. If it is a deal than I would go for it since the fab work is minimal and will cost you less than a new cat back.

Cool, It's actually a very good deal $35 from the one and $45 from the other, I just need to see which tips are better among the 3. So I have to replace the DS back mounting spot and the hanger where the cat was or is it the passenger back mount with the welded hanger assembly?

Thanks!

Uh I am not sure. The tail pipe hangers need to be relocated and so does the end of the i pipe that connects to the cat. I am pretty sure that is it. There may be a hanger above the axle that needs to be modified or relocated. You are going to have to lay the two systems side by side and see what makes them differen't. I have not done this swap but I do own both types of cars and know how the exhaust goes on on each.

Actually lucked out sorta. My brother swung by for some help with his 74 project car. He also has a 95 3.4 Camaro. It wasent helpfull completly though. The I pipe over the axle is a different angle more like a ~ where our is actually a more impressive bend into the muffler. Still looks like it could fit although the V6 at least the 3.4 is only a single outlet that connect to the outter inlet of the muffler, not sure about that 3.8 the bone yard has especially since its an aftermarket muffler. Looks like both muffler support brackets need to be replaced. The Y to I is most likely the same between all 4th gens?? Guess we will find out tomorrow but my brothers is a funky --------^\___Y pipe here. I guess an extension could be made not what I was wanting to do but...
