3 inch exhaust/ 3 inch cat?

If I buy a 3inch exhaust can I use my stock cat or doI have to buy a 3 inch cat immediately for it to work and then would I have to buy headers too?

Most catbacks will have a necessary reducer attached to the cat connection so that you can retain your stock cat. Just buy the cat-back that matches your engine code and everything will bolt up. When you go to a 3" cat later you can cut the reducer off and be a true 3".

If you decide to go ahead and get a cat get the Carsound. I bought mine at abou $32 off Ebay. That's pretty cheap! You might as well go ahead and upgrade the cat while you are at it.

If your stock Ypipe is 2.5" you can use a reducer there...
