Do you have factory cast iron exhaust manifolds or headers?

Are you willing to upgrade to headers?

2.75' is a goofy size and you won't find many cats out there in that size. Your best bet is match your cat size to a y-pipe size on the headers of your choice and then fab it up from there.

also could i just cut the flange off and make it like a normal slip on?

Get the headers/y-pipe for the '86-'90 TPI single cat application. Then get the direct-fit cat CTO-9118 from Summit. Modify your cat-back to fit the cat (unless you go ahead and get a proper cat-back as well).
