I tried looking at all the Tech articles and even a search, but... Does anyone know the size of a plug for the AIR holes that are left after you pull off the tubes? I hate that I cant find the article again...I know I read it here!!!

Thanks

5/16" inflared plugs, not pipe. You only get a few threads in there with pipe plugs.

joshwilson3,

We got the same car! I have the L03 too. I am going to take off my tubes next week. Then the Smog Pump comes off too. I guess that unless I get a correct answer here I will just buy both. If and then I will probably answer my own question the hard way and come back and post the size.

Which one is correct people? I got the belt stuff from the tech article. Just need to find out the hole size for the plugs(flared, inflared)???

Thanks,

Tapered pipe plugs will work, but have nothing to do with the inflared type fittings. Inflared fittings involve working with flared tubing ends such as brake lines and air tubes. An inflared plug will thread in until it seats. The pipe plug will only go as far as the taper allows. I will try to find one and take a pic. Also the sizes will look much different than each other (5/16 inflared vs. 5/16 pipe). I soaked my fittings a few days ahead of taking the tubes loose from the manifolds. Broke loose easy. Just very tough to reach a few of them....
