I was wondering if anyone knows exactly how well you can put an LT1 exhaust on a 3rd generation. I know you have to weld the knew piece on and everything, but im not sure if you need different brackets in different places or how to keep the exhaust from sagging like the LT1 exhaust normally tend to do. Any info would help. Thanks!!!

 

why are you using a LT1 exhaust why dont you just buy a aftermarket exhaust made for you car? it would be a ton easier and probably not that much more expensive.

 

You can use any exhuast that was made to fit 3rd gens with an LT1 swap. 4th gen headers will not work on a 3rd gen. I don't think the exausts tends to sag either. The exhaust on my car is 9 years old and is tucked under nicely and firmly like it was brand new.

 

oh we are talking aftermarket exhaust i thought you wanted to put a stock lt1 exhaust on your car. at least i think i may still be confused
