About $200-$300, plus coating.

You could get a better one that comes with headers too. They're known as the Hooker 2055's. Cost about $360

They're good headers, but they do not come with a y pipe. In the end they're prolly not worth it over the 2055's.

They are shorties with a similar design to the 2460 with the exception of the ball flange to mate up to the y pipe that comes with them. Just about the best headers you can buy for our cars.
Thunder Racing sells them at the top of the page. You can find pics of them by doing a search as well.

Sponsor ACS above will sell them coated.

In Summit, put in "HOK-2055" in their p/n search window. $359.95, "should ship by today". Some say the Hooker ceramic coating isn't the best quality.

Or just order them from Jet Hot or ACS directly. They both sell them coated without you having to handle them.

Tell either you're a thirdgen.org member and they'll give you a nice deal.

No. The 2055's have their own y-pipe included. They are intended for '86-'90 TPI single-cat application, so your cat won't fit their y-pipe, either. The typical approach is to replace the entire system with aftermarket parts for that application.

i have a 91 z28 305,single cat,is the ypipe a 3''size that comes with the 2055headerpipe?if so will the catco9118 be a good alternative to my stock cat which is only what 2 1/2in at the inlet end,i bought aset of 2055'sand hope there going to fit but ive never had a chevybefore, and never did a header install either, the seller says that they will fit my lb9,but that the ypipe is to big for my stock cat, need to find replacement,do you know what size the stock intermediate pipe is that hooks up to cat outlet end?thank you for all info cuda69

Cuda69, come over to the SoCal section and ask there if you dont get a response here. We might be able to help.

Stock y-pipe for a 305 is a 2.25" outlet on a single cat car, and 2.75" outlet on a dual-cat car (after the cats, which are 2.25" each). If you have a single cat, your best bet is to get your muffler shop (like my dad's shop ) to make the y-pipe 3" outlet to mate up to a Magnaflow cat converter, and 3" outlet to an aftermarket cat-back. Or 2.75" reducer to your stock cat-back untill you replace it.

turns out hooker doesnt make a 3''ypipe so it must be 2 1/2''which i should be able to sweat to fit my cat i have now, then upgrade later,i think a shop can make the connection work, were is your dads shop in what city, how for from me is it here in san jose?is the inlet on the stockcat a 2.25 slip fit?so i can just run the ypipe right in and be done with it?

i thought the ypipe that came with the 2055's was a 2.50 slip fit,i was going to just stick it into mystock 2.25 cat if i can get it modified at the muffler shop to fit, dosent that seem possible?i was told they could shrink the end down to fit the 2.25 inlet on the cat i have now?91z28LB9vert,t-5,singlecat,pro5.0,k&nfilters,need info, help to make these 2055's fit my stock setup,cuda69

Oh, your location says Southern California, so I thought you were down here near us. My dad's shop is in Orange County, near Disneyland.

I dont know anything about doing stuff in your driveway. I've been spoiled and do my mods in my dad's garage. Perhaps someone with more knowledge of Hooker 2055's can help here. I have only installed SLP's (both sizes) on my car.
