No Mufflers?!

Hey guys I found a shop that will do 2.5" or 3" piping with no mufflers on my '89 305 RS for super super cheap. Question is how will it sound? Should I have them run dual pipes all the way back to a dual exit under the bumper? Or should they just dump the exhaust with down pipes right after the cat? I was also thinkin of goin dual side exit under the RS on the gfx? let me know wut you think I should do, I want Hooker exhaust but my Camaro is just too quiet and I need to do somethin to make it louder for now! This will probably get done today so I need to know quick!! ThanX!!

No muffler will sound like a$$, even with a catalytic converter in place. Dual pipes with no mufflers would be even worse. Think of an older tow truck or your common ******* 20+ year old beater truck.

If you're set on loud, and want to do it cheap, there is an alternative to a catback. Just have them run a single 3" (stay away from duals) pipe from the converter back to Dynomax Bullet muffler, then over the axle in a y-pipe with one pipe on each side. Guaranteed to be LOUD with a decent tone to it as well, even on a stock 305 TBI
