I think Summit sent me a defective part.

I think Summit sent me a defective part.

I ordered two 2.5"-2.25" reducers so I could connect my headers to my cats. The thing is though, the reducers are just 2.25" peices of pipe




It looks like on the inside they've been expanded on both ends. Are they supposed to be like this?

I just called them and they said to send it back and just go to Autozone.. except does Autozone carry different sizes of reducers?

They probably do. Part Source (Canadian version of autozone basically) sells all kinds of reducers and stuff for exhaust.

Or you could take them to your local friendly exhaust shop and ask them to expand them for you.

They're already expanded unfortunately. I need to shrink one side but I guess that's impossible

They don't look expanded to me. But, the photos are a bit fuzzy.

You said you want 2.5" to 2.25", and these are 2.25". Expand one end to 2.5".
