Dynatech High Flow Cat

Anyone used this on their car...if so, how did you compensate for the reduction in length. I think the catalog says it 11 1/2" long. I know most cats bolt onto the i-pipe leading to the muffler, I know mine does, but how would you connect this slip on one to your bolt on i-pipe. I had this idea since I have a 2 1/2 y-pipe with a reducer connecting it to a 3" OE cat and then the cat is bolted to the i-pipe:

- cut the pipe connecting to the i-pipe off just before the cat and keep that. Using a 3" to 3" connector, attach a piece of 3" pipe to the existing bolt-on connecting pipe and then to the slip-on cat.
- the other side of the cat will slip into the reducer that connects the cat to the y-pipe.

makes sense doesn't it??

i think i just realized my own mistake.....just get rid of the bolt on piece, cut it off entirely, even the part on the i-pipe and then just use a 3" to 3" connecting piece to attach a 3" piece of pipe to the slip on part of the cat....hmmm...its late...studying for finals, kinda worn out....not thinking.

let me know if you have any ideas or info on parts that may make this much easier.
