what size cutout for stock exhaust?

i am gettin an electric cutout in about a month. but in a week or 2 im going to buy the actual cutout from flowtech adn i was wondering what size i should get to fit the stock exhaust size? i think its 2 1/4. also is there any way to remove big dents from exhaust? right where my y pipe y's, there is a big D shaped dent and i know it has to be restrictive. thanks alot

I would save your money and put it towards a new ehxuast. The stock exhaust is garbage and is full of all those crimps and dents like you described.

i dont have a high hp engine or anything. and i have headers and a 2 and a half inch y pipe and aftermarket muffler. so all thats stock is the i pipe. and half of it is 2 1/2 inch so i just wanted to put in a cutout right where my i pipe is strait and put an electric cutout. when i need the power and performance then ill be able to open the cutout. and i also like the sound. and i also liek the sound of my car now hence why i want a cutout. best of both worlds. i just need to know what size

I would go with a 2.5" then. No point in going with the 2.25" because you would still not be utilizing the larger pipe size. Even though you don't have a HO engine you can still benifit emensly from a larger exhaust.
