Question on header gaskets

Get ready... prepare yourself... stupidest question ever is coming...

Do aluminum gaskets need silicone or any other adhesive?

I'massuming he's talking about the dead soft aluminums. I ran coppers on my heads for 3 yrs with no leaks and then upgraded to the aluminum collector gaskets, again no problems. Once I get this new motor broke in I'll be switching to the dead soft aluminum header gaskets as well. Worth the extra money. Once you go through the first intial heating cycles and get them tighten up, your done. For good! I never had a loose header bolts even a year and a half later with the coppers.
