Hello everyone, I went for a drive yesturday to block buster, I knew I had an exaust manifold leak and making my car really loud. when I went to leave BB to go home, I noticed that it quieted down quite noticebly and is making sounds like something is coughing out the manifold, mind you I never shut off my car at BB I only dropped of a couple of movies.
There is no noticebly engine change considering I already had performance loss, but it doesn't try to stall and I don't have running troubles.
Could it be the exaust manifold gasket?

It could. I would jack it up and look for signs of a leak (black coating around the manifold). One reason it get a little quieter is the gasket and manifold expand when hot and it's probably noiser
when cold. You could try re-tourquing the bolts but if your planing to replace them I would soak the hell out of them with PB-blaster brand pen. oil. It will help a great deal!
