stainless exhaust

What are the stainless exhaust options these days?

I know borla obviously. had that on my last thirdgen. I read about a banks kit. Random tech used to make one. The banks seems like a good deal to me though it is hard to find much info on it.

Borla, Banks, and SLP are the only ones I can think of.

I don't know if I have ever heard a banks muffler on a car. do they sound any good.

The borla sounded great but it was over priced and kind of a cheesy kit. had to tap into the existing pipe.

The Banks exhaust sounds great. subzero has a Banks soundclip - PM him and ask him to email it to you. Nice deep sound at idle, gets meaner as the RPM's rise and down right barks at WOT. I just got my catback from Banks and can't wait to put it on.

pm on its way. I like the price of the banks. the borla I had last time was $$$$. I do like borla sound though. to bad thier thirdgen kit is gay. tips sucked, had to tap into the existing pipe up by the cat. sound and power were great though.

yes they make a 4th gen catback. Only difference between a 4gen cat back and 3rd gen is you have to add 1 hanger. So bassni is alos doable if somone wants to try it .

EDIT: here is the part #57985S

I see what your saying. yeah bassani is too much coin. Love the sound but they think there stainless is gold or something. I would go with magnaflow if I wanted to try that. save myself $200-300. I refuse to pay more than $500 for a catback. bassani does sound better IMO though they are just very proud of thier stuff.

random tech has one for $580 or so. same with the slp. If you are going 4th gen then addapting it. the magnaflow would be you best price though. have to ditch the cat though for sure. they are too tame with that in the pluming.

If you live in the parts of the county that use road salt go with a Stainless Steel system. If its just sound you want go with the cheapest. Myself, I have both (stainless & sound) went with SLP.
SLP 1 3/4 Headers
Catco Cat 3"
SLP 3" Catback
All Stainless Steel and will last as long as I own the car..
