Duals with glass packs vs. catback

Which do you think would be better all around, noise & performance wise on an 89 Firebird Formula w/350, duals with glass packs, or running a catback?
Listened to an IROC-Z with glass packs and it sounded mean as hell..
But yea, what do you guys think? Be it personal preference or what ever. I just want some opinions

LoL....just the topic of this thread made me almost throw up on myself . Catback Catback Catback!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! First of all duals are not an easy task on a thirdgen (unless its jacked up, or you dont care about ground clearance) not much room underneath for them. And as for the sound i migh let glasspacks slide on an oldschool car or big **** truck with mudders not on a thirdgen. When i first got my car i installed just a flowmaster muffler (tripple chamber i think but cant remember for sure) It was way louder and more powerful, and IMO you cant beat flowmaster for the sound. Once the pipes went bad I upgraded to the SLP 3" catback and it blew my mind.... Deffinate performance upgrade, but if your lookin for somethin loud the flowmasters would be more your style. The SLP has a nice good tuned sound on my ride and i like it cause its a little quiter than the flowmaster and the cops havent harased me for it yet. Another thing i like about the SLP is the two on the left design. To those not in the know about 3rd gens they think its like wimpy compared to the usual one on each side that looks like duals, but to those in the know they know what up!! Anyways just my humble oppinion and i hope whatever you go with works out well for ya.

Yeah, two on the left rocks. But I'd also look into a hooker cat-back. They have good reviews and are supposed to both muffle, and flow VERY well.

I have a Flowmaster 80 on my car and its almost too loud for me. When I get my Hooker 2055's on the car the flowmaster will shortly be changed out for something quieter. Probably a Hooker or Magnaflow muffler. Both flow exeedingly well while being a tad bit quieter than the Flow.

I would go with a catback myself. I did away with my true duals and went with a 3" hooker supercomp catback. It sounds really good you can here a clip of it here if you want.

The metallic rattling is my muffler shield, I accidently mounted it just a little too high and I haven't fixed it yet.
