single cat headers on dual cat car

I just found out the SLP discontinued its dual cat header option. I was looking at headman and havent heard any good reviews, so I was gonna see if the SLP y-pipe for single cat cars can be modified for a dual cat car. I know Dynomax use to make headers with a single cat pipe, that could be cut to fit dual cat cars. I was curious if any other brands, like SLP, or hooker, can be modded the same way.

yes they can be modified, you just have to cut them off before the y and fab up some extra pipe so they'll fit. it's not as easy as just welding extensions on but its not too difficult either. there's one very small turn that needs to be made but after that it pretty much mates right up.
