Random Tech cats just sh*t the bed

This really sux. On my way home from the track and as Im pulling up to the house I hear a rattling sound. I went over the entire exhaust and after tightening down a few semi loose bolts, i rapped the pipes and the sound was still there. Turns out the bricks, in both cats it seems, have begun to fall apart. This is total BS. I had this problem when the body shop clipped the stock cats with the lift. Now I have to get 2 more new cat, and now I need to have new in/out pipes bent up because there isnt anymore room left for a cut n weld.
Unless someone has a better selection, I am gonna get 2 dynomax super cats. Got one on my sis' 86 for the last 4 yrs and havent had a single problem.

Guess it will be a good time to up it to a set of headers too. And suggestions on a set of dual cat headers? How have the edelbrocks faired with those of you with an L98? Havent heard of much good from heddman, and SLP dont make em for my car anymore.

is there a heat shield on them? That would make the noise also.

The noise is internal. Its a dull rattling. There onle a year and a half old. I think Im just gonna get the catco setup. I have to retain them for emissions. Dont really wanna spend money to do the same thing twice.
