Need Help-lost on what to do next

I bought these
Hedman Hedder #68470
2 months ago and I think im ready to put them on
They came with the gaskets and bolts, but im not sure what else I need

They need to have an o2 bung welded in and a hole drilled, is that a big deal to have someone do?

Also I guess I need a y pipe, im new to all this and have no idea what a y pipe is

I wanted to do I guess just a straight pipe from the headers to the back of the car, is that feasible?

I guess I need some help on what to do, the whole exhaust on there now i pretty much trashed (BAD rust) so what would be my best and cheapest option to get performance and decent sound to go with the hedders I bought?

Thanks guys sorry its so long

First off, the y-pipe is that y-shaped(hence the name) that connects to your hedders on both sides of the engine. I'm not sure if heddman has matching pipes for their hedders, if not you can have someone fab it for you and to weld in the o2 bung is not a big deal. So get the y-pipe(3"), a high flow direct fit 3" cat and a 3" cat-back of your choice...there are a lot of them to choose from and the prices vary. Get that plumbed up and you should be good to go.

Any exhaust shop should be able to put an 02 bung in your headers for less than 40 bucks. That includes parts and the welding and such. I believe those headers have a matching y-pipe that is sold separetly.

Here is a jegs part number for the y-pipe that goes with those headers. 500-17470

The y-pipe is the part of your exhaust that merges the headers to a single exhaust pipe routing. It looks like a y.

ahh I see

So is the ypipe the only option on these cars? (no clearance for two pipes?)

So how much do you think im looking at 140 bucks plus the cost of a straight pipe? How would I get that pipe all the way to the back of the car?...I dont need the cat

Any I guess cat-back kits?

Sorrry im asking dumb questions

thanks for the help guys

You will need a cat-back of your choice. To connect the y-pipe to the cat-back you will either need a cat or a piece of pipe to take the place of the cat. If you are replacing the whole exhaust right now I would just buy headers, cat and a cat-back for a TPI car.
