summit p/n 633222, ANYONE USE THEM???

a chambered muffler only 4" thick with a price tag of $39.99 a piece. anyone use them before? doing a true dual system guys, want to make it sound great without the big cost but need as much ground clearance as possible. the edlebrocks look nice but for $79.99 a pop, i can afford an addtional 3/8" less ground clearance.

here's a link to the summit mufflers...tell me what ya think...http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...ummit+mufflers

I got a pair of their 630130's last winter for the 396. Although they had a very nice tone, the tubes necked down to less than 2" inside the case before there were any perferations. I really intended to get the welded mufflers like you're getting (just 3" in/out"), but had a blonde moment and ordered those "turbo" mufflers instead. Shall we say, they are more perferated now than they were when I took them out of the box?

Let me know how these look/sound/perform. The description does say "large flow tubes", which the "turbo" description does not. I may go ahead and get those weldeds this winter (the turbos are pretty loud now with the "custom" perferations).

I blew out a muffler on the power tour and replaced it with that one (only got one to see if I liked it ) it sounds good at an idle but has a truck rat a tat tat sound under power.... not to my liking so I am looking for something else now.
