LO3 to LT1 exhaust compatability

After I get my new rear end in within the next couple weeks, I'm going to completely replace the exhaust.

I have a 1992 RS 305TBI, obviously with stock exhaust. I have this in mind:

--Hooker 2055 headers (if they are CA legal)
--Random Tech. Cat
--Banks cat back

Now, assuming that these 3 things will all be legal in CA, will I be able to use this exact same setup if I swap to a LT1 next summer?

I'd imagine that I might need a couple extra 02 sensors, but what else would I need to do?

You can use that exhaust with your LT1. You will have to add 02 bungs later (the number depends on OBD1 and OBD11 along with if you use simulators) but that isn't that hard. I beleive that some members with LT1's had some slight shrouding with those headers on the LT1 D-ports. I am sure they will chime in as to what they did. IIRC they just ground down the inside weld a bit on the primary to make a smooth transisition. I would send TexasLT1 or Z28r icer a PM for more info. They are the LT1 swap go to guys.
