Making headers for 2.8 V6
Ok heres the deal. I have a pretty modified 2.8 V6 in my 82 Camaro. I know hold the jokes. I have quite a few other vehicles with much much larger power plants in them but this one is kind of special considering most of the stuff had to be made for it.
Years ago I had contacted Headman Headers because they listed headers for a 2.8 V6. The guy was really cool. He went back and after about 5 minutes on hold him and a buch of other guys were laughing because he had found the only set that they had left and practicly blew about and inch of dust off of them. He shipped them to me for free and only charged me $50.00 for them. It was great. After recieving them I had a local shop weld me up a custom exhaust for the car and I was road worthy. Well after putting my wheels on I noticed the Y pipe was kinda low but not a real issue. Until one day I was running down a street that they had ripped the surface up to be redone and the man holes where sticking up quite a bit above the road surface. Well I wasn't paying attention and straddled the man hole basically slamming the Y pipe against the lid. The car practically lifted off the ground and sent the lid to the manhole sailing down the street. I litterally yanked the y pipe loose from the collector and yanked the headers from the maunting flange. I streched them and broke the welds. Pretty devistating damage done in just one second. Witnesses said it made an awfull sound and the car come off the ground about one foot. I damn near ripped the whole exhaust system from under the car.
I had found this site through a search for 2.8 headers and someone had mentioned this site and that someone can make me some custom headers for this engine.
Here's an older pic of the engine taken about 4 years ago. I have done quite a bit more to it and dressed the engine compartment up such as chroming the shock towers, hood hinges and enything else I could unbolt and the list goes on. Had a custom Cool Flex radiator built a few days ago. A screeming 2.8 V6 gets pretty hot.

Really nice looking and well made!

that would be great. I am about to yank the engine and paint the entire car and frame again. When I do so I want to put new headers on and have them covered.
