Exhaust cutout's?
I awlays see the 2in cut outs in Jegs, the ones w. the wing nuts. Do they make a bigger diameter, and do they make one that you can open from inside the car?

I got one from Summit (Summit brand) for $26 and its got a 3" pipe, and the cutout pipe is also 3".
IMO, its a very nice peice, but should be painted with real header paint. It comes with the same cheap black paint that headers typically come with.
Mine also did have wingnuts on it, but I took them off in favor of stainless hex nuts. I just use a box end 9/16 wrench to take it off. It only takes a few seconds to do, and they hold much tighter than wing nuts do. Stainless won't rust to the studs either.
Oh, BTW - my cutout also came with two steel collector flanges (3") that are meant to be welded to either end of the cutout, but they aren't necessary. Came with extra gaskets too.
IMO, it was $26 well spent.

For that you would need the cutout and an electric butterfly valve(known as a electric cutout)
With just a cutout, you need to crawl under the car and unscrew the nuts.
With an electric cutout installed on the cutout you can open the cutout with the flip of a switch.

QTEC cutouts, Mccord powerplates, they're out there, and fairly cheap, too. Right now there is a GP for MCCORDs being organized, you should join in.
Flip a switch, open headers! See a cop? 4 seconds later you're back to quiet.
