2055 painted or coated
ok ok. i have read a lot about the hooker 2055's on here and have decided to go with em for my 84 TA which im doing a 350 swap in. i read the test that was linked about the jethot coating and the results were quite impressive. obviously coated is better but would i be alright with painted. stock headers n such arent coated and seem to last a long time n what not. im already putting a lot of money into the swap so if i can shed a couple hundred off the headers that would be nice. any input as always is much appreciated

Painted here, 3 years ago this month. Driven year-round, paint looks decent on the headers but the Y is rust speckled.
Ceramic coating is the one bit of money I regret not spending.

And ceramic coating is a bit of money I do not regret spending.
I've had them for close to two years, and the headers look as they did the day I put them on. The y-pipe has some minor oxidation, but still looks good.
