2.5" pipes off muffler with 2.25" rolled tips
Here's the deal:
My hooker has 2.5" pipes comin' outta the muffler. I'm looking for some cool tips, and 90% of 'em are 2.25" not 2.5".
Can I run a reducer and just use the 2.25" tips, or will that hurt my flow and reduce performance? I know that at some point it obviously would reduce flow, but for my mild mods I'm guessing I'll never see that .25" cause problems.
What do you guys think?

Area of two 2.25" pipe is 24.96
Area of a single 3" pipe is 22.18
unless you plan on running a catback larger than a 3" it wont hurt anything to run dual 2.25" pipes because it can only flow as much as the smallest part of the exhaust system.
