Good question. I'll be installing new AFR L98 angle plug heads in a few weeks and using my SLP 1 5/8" Tri-Y's...

Axle/Gears: 3:73,3850 lbs , best of 9.92 @ 138
i ran slp 1 3/4 and the only issue i had with them was plug #5 and # 6 were a biatch with the way the tubes run besides that they were a great header and never had much leak issues. put hooker 1-7/8 longtubes on my car and have had all kinds of probs, almost want to go back to the slp's

From what I understand you will not have issues if you got the L98 angle heads. From what I have read the problem occurs when people went with the standard angle plug heads and not the L98 angles. There used to be a thread that went into in-depth detail about this.
