just stay away from longtubes unless the car is a show car, and i assume u are using the car as a daily driver u will have some pretty banged up headers after this first couple days, just go with the hooker 2055 headers which are shorties.

Long tubes and sportlines would be tough. My I-pipe is awful close to the ground and would be on par with long tube collectors. Shorties will suffice unless your motor really needs them.

You may have one of those situations where you need to sacrifice 10 or so peak HP for the sake of drivability. These cars are a bear to drive when lowered. Now add long tubes and the 4" of clearance you had before just went to 3" or less.

theres just soemthing about shortys that i dont like and willing to scrifice driving to certin locals to ahve my long tubes unless you all agree that its a 95%+ bad idea

If you drive on a race track then you are fine. Speed bumps will be the death of you. You can go over them since the car rises as you approach it. However death to your collectors, cat, piping, cutout or whatever you have down there when your front tires go over it and you teedor (sp?) over the bump. I basically turned 3" piping into spintech oval piping by driving over one speed bump. Inclines are rough as well but you can approach them very slow and at an angle as to not dive the nose of the car when braking. It just gets really annoying crawling into driveways and pull ins at 1mph with people behind you honking.

I do not have long tubes but in this pic you can see how low my 3" exhaust lays. You can see the flange on the cat towards the left there and how close it is to the ground. Now granted this pic was taken in the yard but the clearance on concrete isn't much different. I had just mowed.
Most lone tube collectors will be just as low as the I pipe in this pic.

One more. You can see how low these cars can go even with 26" tall tires and a simple coil spring upgrade.

Haha yeah I hear that. At my school parking lot I have to just crawl over the speedbumps, whereas the SUVs take 'em at 50 or more.

Oh, and looking at that last pic, you should be careful running your car on the lawn. You wouldnt want to burn or set fire to your freshly mowed grass, would you?

I don't live their anymore. I think my 30 year old craftsman lawn mower did more damage than the car ever did.
