exhaust odor
exhaust odor
I know I may have an exhaust leak allowing this smell into the car but I'm more concerned with why the odor is there at all. It seems almost sweet, not really a rotten egg smell. I'm thinking catalytic converter but it just passed emissions inspection with no problem.

sweet smells indicate burning coolant. pull your spark plugs out and look for a white coating on them. check all of them, yes.
we need to make sure you don't have a blown head gasket.
