Most catback systems will run you around 300 dollars, so It all depends on your sound preference. Listen to some of your boys or find some clips somewhere and make a choice

I don't know if you're familiar with it or not, but you might want to try www.nastyz28.com for second generation information. They'd probably have some input as far as who's second gen systems fit best, etc, etc.

As far as what exhaust would be "best"...that's a dangerous question that has been asked around here a lot . Basically, whatever you get will be better than stock. I would choose by a combination of the sound that I like and a cost that is reasonable.

You can run a search here for "best exhaust" or something like that and likely get some descriptions or recordings of what different systems sound like.

For the record, I have SLP on my thirdgen and stock on my second gen (81 Z28). I'm interested in trying to put together a system for the 81 using hooker's aerochamber mufflers (possibly as replacement mufflers for the ones included with a dynomax kit).

As MikeS posted, please see the forums at http://www.nastyz28.com/ for 2nd gen info.

Good luck in your quest to make your 2nd gen better.
