will a 2.5 inch dia. y pipe handle 300 hp?
my car has a beefed up 350 in it and hedders, but the people that put the exhaust on it put a 2.5 inch y pipe from the hedders to the converter and from there back a 3 inch pipe. The 2.5 inch pipe is only about 2 feel long, but I am going to get my car tuned soon and dont want to loose power because of a stupid 2.5 inch pipe. I am guessing my car will make around 300 to 330hp at the flywheel. Is the 2.5 inch pipe to small?

no reason why it wouldn't "handle" it... it just isn't optimal. backpressure.

found on the internet that flowmaster suggest a 3 inch single pipe for a 350 motor making 300 to 350hp.

It will suffice. LT1 cars came with a 2.5" y-pipe and they make 300hp. As token said, not optimal and slightly restrictive, but will work.
