New Headers + 3" single = backfiring and shaking?

Well, I got my headers installed yesterday along with a 3" exhaust system. It sounds much different and drives much different. At idle, it actually rumbles and has a lope to it. Here is the wierd part though, until about 1400rpm, the vehicle actually shakes. On my way back from lunch right now, as I idled into my parking spot, I heard a very mild pop (just one) sound also come from the tailpipe.

Is this normal??

No, make sure your wires are on correct and in good shape.

Yeah man, it kinda sounds like you may have your firing order a little messed up. Maybe you have already burned a wire, its very much a possibility.

I didn't think that it was running right. Just gave the keys to the exhaust guy and picked it up at the end of the day and it was running like this. Sound level aside, it seemed far less civilized than it did before the headers went on which just didn't seem right to me. (Never run headers before; didn't know what to expect)

I'm hoping Minute Muffler man failed to snap a wire in properly versus a wrecked relatively new set of bosch wires...

I'll check firing order too.

Thanks for your input!

Fixed

Found the problem(s)... #8 wire wasn't snapped in and #7 spark plug was broken, barely hanging hanging on.

All I have to say now is I can't believe the difference.

Thanks for your help!
