fake loudmouth question
Hey guys, my exhaust works kinda like this, stock manifolds into y with no converters, into 3" staight back to two 3.5" tips.. no mufflers, no resonators, no NOTHING.. the car sounds wicked when your foots in it.. but as soon as you let up on it, it sound like a**.. if you rev the engine in neutral it sounds great until the tach starts to fall back down.. its very raspy and "crackly".. anyway.. how to combat the raspy without compromising the awesome full throttle experience??? resonator? bullit? other options?
Thanks in advance
and just incase my email still isnt updated in my profile its tranamluvr24@aol.com

thats kinda weird, when i had my 80 series rear section off, and ran the 3inch straight pipe over the axle, it sounded real deep, and WOT was way loud, but it didnt have the crackling. i guess it was cuz i still had the stock cat converter on it.
i would go buy a dynomax bullet, either 3inch or 3.5inch and fit it in the I pipe where the stock cat is or along that area. should resonate it and sound sorta loudmouth like. otherwise mount it back behind the axle like a stock muffler just like the loud mouth
edit, and headers should help alot too. mine did combat some of that raspy/crackling on OFF throttle on my 80 series flowmasters.

Could get a flapper valve. Not sure what ya call em but have seen them on ebay for cars. Basically gas only flows out the pipe.
Not sure how it work but it will help that. besides runnin a muffler or cat.
