I want to remove the CAT from my 91 Camaro 305 and run a straight pipe instead, My O2 sensor is before the CAT and i have a new one to replace it with, I would also reconnect the AIR tube to the straight pipe section (The AIR tube is now connected to the CAT). What i would like to know is if this will cause problems or if there are any modifications i will need to make. Every thing will be factory but without the CAT.

 

Why would you want to connect the air tubing to the exhaust pipe? It's only purpose is to assist in heating the converter for better catalyst efficiency. Just pull off the line and disconnect the smog pump, then your done with it.
