4" Mufflex Cat Back

I got a few questions about this...first of all, where can i get it from? i hear alot of people talking about it, and now i'm actually considering it, and i can't find it....also will this fit over the rear axle with clearance all around? even if i'm lowered 1.6 inches?? i'm going with the spintech split case 4" in and dual 3" out if i go the mufflex way...also if you guys got some sound clips, post them, because I hear the 4" mufflex sounds a lot different than a traditional 3" exhaust....

I have the 3.5" Mufflex exhaust on my Camaro with the Flowmonkey muffler. I think its a 3 chamber, but it sounds amazing on my car - at least when its floored; sounds so-so when cruising, good at idle. I know every muffler all sound different, but typically a 3 chamber will sound similar to other 3 chambers, regardless of brand.

My car is lowered about 1.5" and there is enough room easily to fir the 4" over the axle, but only becuase Mufflex installed it - they tweaked it perfect in 15 minutes.

Did you go to the Mufflex website and look ay the pics?

I have the 4 inch system and I really like it. It sounds great, to me, and looks really good. Here is the website:

Mufflex Website

One thing that I would do though is have a good muffler shop put it on. he way mufflex sends it to you it will work but it will hang low. All you need is a few mods and you get get it to tuck up real nice and give you more clearence. Mine is tucked up so that you cannot even tell what i have under there until you look under the car.

Who says you have to buy new? I bought a used one in great shape locally for $280. And that was the dual outlet Spintech system. Look around on the 4th gen sites like www.ls1.com, www.camaroz28.com etc. 4th gen systems will work as well.
