Dual straight pipes from the manifolds back

I have a 87 Camaro 305, and I was wondering what kind of sound/performance I would get from putting dual 2.5" pipes from the manifolds back, with an H-pipe connecting them. How would that sounds? Sorry about all the questions, but this seems like the best place for information. Thank you!

You'd get more gain and a whole lot less trouble if you put headers on before worrying about dual exhaust.
