side exhaust on 3rd gen?????

side exhaust on 3rd gen?????
i wanted to know if it is a good idea to put a side exhaust on my IROC....here is the deal...i am going to put new headers on the sucker with 2 CATCO converters then some Borla XR-1 (if i am correct) oval mufflers then somehow bend the pipe so that it exits in front of the rear tire and cut out a piece of the GFX at the end for the muffler tip to exit....basically i wanted to flatten the pipe a little so that it wont be close to the ground and as an exit that tip that newer camaros used..the flat tip that i think Z-28 s came with stock.....so any help....please....
