L03 Exhaust - L98 Engine

Hey guys,

Trying to save alittle money to get things finished up in my L98 TPI swap.

So I'm going to hold off on the SLP Headers/Y for a few months.

I have two options.

1) Pull 305 (L03) and drop L98 in and just use the L03 Exhaust manifolds/Ypipe as is.

OR

2) The L98 engine I have does have the L98 exhaust manifolds.

Are these different then the L03 ones? If so will the L98 manifolds bolt up to the L03 Ypipe? What would be the most cost effective without killing my power option? Thanks guys.

Yes I know that is in the plans, but I am trying to make do and want to finish this swap THIS summer.

This winter I can re-upgrade the exhaust not a problem. I am just trying to make do with what I have now and that is:

L03 Ypipe/Exhaust manifolds
L98 Exhaust manifolds.

The exhaust after that is a Flowmaster 40 series in place of the cat and the pipe goes straight back Y's to give a dual appearance w/ chrome tips (I know its a hack job, but I bought it that way and working w/ what I have).

Well, if noone knows if the L03 and L98 manifolds are the same where is a good cheap place to pick up a factory L98 Ypipe??? That might be my best bet...???

I have a factory Y pipe off my old GTA that was a L98 350 TPI car.
and also have one off a 305 car. The L98's exhaust is a lot bigger.

$25 and it's yours. Also has a hollowed cat,3 in and out attached to it. I live rite outside Madison In. if you wanted to come pick it up. It would be too expensive to ship.

While here you could see the difference between the 305 and 350's Y-pipe.
