running other than flowmaster?

Whos running something other than a flowmaster? Id like to change it up because EVERYONE here with a 3rd gen has a flowmaser and I want to be different. Id like to be REALLY loud like the 4th gens, but Im not running an open exhaust to do so (already have a cut out so if i feel the need i can .) Anybody NOT happy with what they got? Id kinda like to try a borla, anybody running that?

to my knowledge Bassani doesnt make a catback directly for 3rd gens. i have one on my car and it fits but the tips hang out passed the bumper and look terrible. they point down and hang out too far. and its not loud either. its actually pretty quiet at idle and cruise with a kinda deep bassey sound. but at WOT nearing 5k rpms is where it starts to sound really really nice. but thats with cats. soon ill have a gutted cat welded back on and i can get some clips.

You are right and I forgot about that. If I recall you have to piece it together and buy the 4th gen rear section with 3rd gen piping.

Ive heard a hooker aerochamber on a 4th gen camaro and I loved it. Then he switched to borla and I like it too. I want to be really loud, but not sound like crap if you know what i mean. Im just one of those guys that likes to be different, and everyone and their dog runs flowmaster on a 3rd gen around here. Has anyone heard the loudmouth II? A friend with an LS1 firehawk just got it and it sounds cool at upper rpms, but he also has cats, so im wondering what it would sound like without them.

i dunno about other catbacks but when they put my bassani on they used all the 4th gen pieces. i dunno if they had to cut or bend the I pipe but i know they added a couple hangers on each side of the gas tank for the tips.

mufflex

A friend of mine has a 94 LT1 with the 4 inch Mufflex system. That has been hands down the best system I have heard so far. I can't remember for the life of me what muffler he had on it though, anyway, he has a very well built lingenfelter LT1 in it(which has alot to do with the sound).........with a 6 speed and ran somewhere in the 11's at 120 mph all motor and drag radials. Very cool sounding system in my opinion. When that thing fired up in a parking lot amongst a lot full of other hot rods, everyone turned around and took notice. Very neat, Larry.
