Emissions Question
i live in new york and have a 305 tbi. I was wondering if i can take off the air system and have it still be legal and not take away anything from the car. Any help is great thanks.

It won't be legal because the car was certified by GM with the A.I.R. system.
You might not get dinged by a visual inspection, but I'm not familiar with what level of visual inspection they do in western NY.
If you have to go through a sniffer test, you may not pass if A.I.R. has been removed.
