Edelbrock ti-tech headers

EDL-68723

anyone got these yet? I want to know how they compare to their normal ceramic coating. This new ti-tech coating is actually a bit cheaper then their normal ceramic.. just curious for you know the old saying 'you get what you pay for'.

Want to make an informed decision before I buy.

These are TES headers actually, they are avaliable in;

non-coated (part #EDL-6872)
ceramic coated (part #EDL-6872 2)
ti-tech coated (part #EDL-6872 3)

...no one that I phoned has the ti-tech avaliable in Canada yet, take about two weeks to get them in. I can get the ceramic over the counter, in stock.

Just wanted some feedback on the ti-tech coating, or if I should stick with the ceramic. The only real information I could find on them (that is not sales propoganda) is;

High Temperature Coating Features a C-105 Titanium Satin Finish for Heat Stability to 1600° F
No big deal, sounds like ceramic. Then it goes on to say;

At higher temperatures the Ti-Tech coating will cure, becoming harder and more abrasion resistant, unlike organic coatings that chalk and lose adhesion with extreme heat.
That makes all the difference, thats what happens to the ceramic coating as it breaks down.

Any opinions, suggestions, or comments? Anyone have a set of these??

well my friend bought a set for his camaro rs. just last week. I helped him install them since i have the uncoated set, and the same PITA problems occured.

They did make a little smaoke at first, but in deed the coatings do appear to last longer then most. reminds us both of POR15(i think thats what it is), well the coating appearance does.
