Por 20 header coating curing question
It says the let the engine run for awhile to heat up and cure. If you did this, did the headers produce smoke when it cured?
I just got the car back together, and when I started it up, withen a minute or 2, there was smoke coming off the headers, and a smell like burnt plastic.
I could not find anything melted on or near the headers, and after a few minutes it wasn't as bad.

I've never used that stuff on headers, but I know its normal with paint and ceramic coating... its just oil from your hands and other things they touch during install burning off.

I used that stuff on my Jeep and my Conquest, and smoked like a freight train both times. Works pretty well though, as long as it is prepped right.
