I am looking into making a new y pipe for my SLP 1.75" single cat headers.I do not run a cat so that is not a concern.My main concern is fitment.The SLP y pipe fits ok with the Moroso pan (#20180) I use but tends to hit the floor where it runs under the car in the corner of the left front wheelwell.Now yeah I could get a BFH and beat the floor in a lil right there..but that is not my style.The actual making of the y pipe is not even my main concern.What are you guys doing for the header collector to y pipe adapters on the y pipe?Did you reuse the SLP ones off the stock y pipe or but new ones?While I am at it I plan to increase the y pipe to 2.5" pipes into a Flowmaster Y pipe reducer to 3".The collectors are stopping me at this point as they seem to be an SLP only deal?Pics would be greatly appreciated.

 

Well, I did have problems with the section that feeds into the cat interfering with my subframe connectors and I actyally pie cut across the two header extensions right before they join into one and then make the turn to face rearward. This way I was able to bend the entire collector-cat connection downward.

I dont know if this helps you or not but its all just related to how much time you want to spend with it (cutting/welding) and wether you want to keep the 409 stainless throughout...
