Flowmaster 30 series question

I currently have a 30 series 3" in/3" out on my IROC and I am exploring the option of dual out mufflers.

Tonigh I noticed there is a spot on the passenger side of the muffler, next to the inlet that you may be able to cut out with a torch and make it a dual out. Essentially it would look like an 80 series.

Based on the diagram on Flowmaster's website my thought is the only difference is the 80 series is a 3 chamber dual out and the 30 series is a 2 chamber single out.

Has anyone tried this? Did it sound ok? If my thought process is correct then a dual out 30 series would sound pretty damn good.

I am trying to decide if I should stay with Flowmaster or go with the Dynomax 3" in/dual 2.5" out race muffler.

Only difference I see internally is the number of chambers.

I think it should work. And if it does end up sounding like sh*t, just go with the dynomax because if youre looking for loud, you're not gonna get it from the 80 series.

Have you heard that Dynomax cross flow race muffler? I am really curious to know how it sounds in comparison to the 30 series.
