whats the pro's and con's abotu removing a catilatic converter on a 89 camaro, and just makign it stright exhuast.
how much horsepower will i gain by doing this?

If the converter isn't plugged up, and its otherwise stock exhaust, you won't get any more power. One of the cons is that it will be a bit louder (if thats a con) and smell 'gassier' when its running.
The pros... it will be a little louder, and the sound will be a little deeper and throatier. You won't gain any power though.

hmm, im just tryign to aim for that more deeper throutyer sound. in otherwords MEAN. hmm so ur sayign if i take it off it will make it sound lil more meaner but smell a little more gassy. hmmmmmm
