Patching up hole in I-Pipe
Patching up hole in I-Pipe
All right, I finally got my new muffler on but in the process of trying to remove the remains of the old muffler I managed to put some damage to the corner of my I-pipe. I'll attach an image of it and you can see it. I really don't want to spend the money to replace it since it's part of a dynomax catback and I'm working to sell off the car. I tried to use one of the muffler repair wraps the wraps around but i couldn't get a tight seal on it. Does anyone know a good solution here. Could i get a welder and throw a piece of sheet metal there or they guy at the local store suggested a putty to repair it. Anyone have any input I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

That's rather rough. For someone to patch that is going to cost as much as a $30 replacement pipe from CAP.
