Full 3" Exhaust from Headers back
I was looking to do a full 3" exhaust on my new Camaro and had a few questions... To start off, I haven't picked up the car yet, I am picking it up on Thursday. It's an '89 RS LO3 (305 TBI). I have never owned a TBI car before and am not familiar with the type of emissions setup on the vehicle.
I would like to bypass the EGR/AIR or whatever is on the car. Now Heres my questions...
What does the car have? EGR? AIR?
Can the system be completely removed and have non-emissions headers installed?
I am looking to get the hooker 20551 ceramic headers. They have a 3" collector with a 3 bolt flange.
The hooker Y-Pipe is 3" in, 2.5" out... I cant seem to find a 3" out Y-Pipe with a 3 bolt flange. Anyone know where I can get one?

It should have the A.I.R system. The best way to tell is if you have a tube coming off your cat. Removing it won't hurt it. You just won't pass the sniffer test if you are required to have one.
As far as the y-pipe. You could just get a 3" to 3" reducer (I know there is no reduction, but you will find that piece in the same section). Most have a lip and you can get the flange to go with it. All you would have to do is weld it or just buy a clamp.

Ohh I didn't see that you were talking about 2.5" out. I'm sure if you dig through summit you will find one. Just type in y-pipe and sort through them.
