Y Pipe ??

I have a rebuilt 350 and I added Hedman shorties with a 3 in diameter outlet on them, now for the y pipe do i get the standard hedman y pipe. It says 2.5 in inlet and outlet slip fit, wil that work for what I want to do. Or any comments on what i should do would be great.

y pipe

I installed the hedman tubular exhaust on a 84 ta and the only problem I had was the y pipe were the cat USED to be hit my sfc. Minor problem fixed with a torch, Heat and bend pipe not sfc. Tried at midas to get it remade but they wouldn't even look at it.
