hooker header question
will hooker 2054 headers with the AIR hookups work on an 89 formula with a tpi, they say they are for a tbi but would the induction really matter

Those headers should work and bolt up fine. But, keep in mind that the headers specifically made for the 305 TBIs and the other low output 305s are going to have smaller pipe sizes, and if it includes a y-pipe the stock catalytic converter(s) will not bolt up without modification.

The difference is the size of the y-pipe outlet. TPI is bigger than TBI.
The driver's side A.I.R. check valve mount might point forward as well. Not sure about that.
I assume you're looking at a used set, or NOS, since the 2054's aren't available new anymore.
