Coating used Headers

Can you still get a ceramic coating on used headers with some surface rust??

You sure can. It is a great way to make old headers practically new again.

The "surface rust" will have pitted the surface. Unless the tubes are polished, not just blased, the pits will pock the coating as well.

yes. They will be acid washed inside ot get all the carbon and rust out.

The out side is media blasted with 80grit Alum. Oxide 1st.

Then coated inside and out.
