well looking and reading about them and other reading on here has led me to this thougt.....shorties take away some low range torque....lts help low range torque and some up top but are a pita to install many times....these torque steps are mid lenght so to make up for some of the loss that shorties would have they start w/ 1 1/2 primary and then go to 1 5-8 primary. if i had to guess id say they are about the same performance as lts but offer a little more ground clearance....either choice will probably warrant a custom y pipe so im just gonna go w/ the lts and hope my ground clearance is okay since my car isnt lowered any like many are...although i hope the springs havent sagged too much over time and i dont know if they are stock or have been replaced i plan to do some measuring soon.

i have the eibach pro kit in my car, and ground clearance is definitely a concern.

I don't get the ground clearance concerns. My hedman long tubes aren't as low as my tranny crossmember.
