Hooker shorty questions,,,Y-pipe?

Okay I am sure this has been gone over but the search didn't result in much for me. With that being said,,,I have a chance to purchase brand new in the box hooker shorty headers. The fellow is unsure of the part number but told me they did not come with the y-pipe,,so I believe these are the 2460 part number. In the exhaust section I found a sticky on headers,,,,and it lists the 2460's and also states there is no Y-pipe available for these,,,on the contrary,,,I found on hookers site there is a Y-pipe made specifically for this header and it is part number 16767,,,,not sure on price but it is still listed in the catalog. As long as I can buy that I will be fine.
If these headers turn out to be 2055's ,,,,Now the question,,,can I purchase the Y-pipe serperate for these? There was no mention of this Y-pipe available serperate. The
y-pipe I found (16767) will not fit the 2055's,,,,they seem to take a different Y-pipe according to Hooker,,,"shrug"
I seem to remember someone on here saying they had to buy a y-pipe from hooker for their 2055's and it was available seperate. Any help or insite on this would be much appreciated. thanks in advance,,,,Larry.

You are correct, Hooker does now make a y-pipe for the 2460s. It cost about $200 from Summit Racing, Jegs, etc.:

If the headers do turn out to be 2055s, than just call Holley up and explain your situation. They'll send you just a y-pipe, it just might take a little while. Here's the thread you referred to, and it explains what redliterunner ending up doing:

Many thanks!

Big difference in price between the two The thread you listed is indeed the one I was referring to, thank you. That fellow never did write back to tell everyone whether or not the actual price of his Y-pipe was the $60 he was quoted or not. I am guessing it was,,,strange that Hooker sells the other y-pipe for $200. I was reading up more on the 16767 pipe and it is made to delete the converter,,,,very interesting, wonder how they got away with that. In any event,,,thats fine, I don't have a converter on mine anyhow,,,guess I will wait and see which part number headers I am going to wind up with,,,, Larry.
