what am i gaining

i was wondering if i should go with long tube headers. my set up is as followed:

383 holley stealth ram with 30lb accel injectors, 58mm TB, afr 180 heads, roller comp cam with about .544 lift w/1.6 rockers

currently i am using edelbrock tri coated shorty headers that goes into a gutted stock cat and then thru a american thunder exhaust by flowmaster. i was wondering what benifits i would be getting from running long tubes. also if i do go with long tubes what would i do as far as a y-pipe or do i go with a true duel exhaust out. i also have a t-56 tranny with spohns xmember. i dont know if i will have fitment issues with these. thanks

on your setup the difference would be huge.. fully 35ish rwhp, 45ish rwtq.

I'd do LTs with no cats, X piped with bullets. Flowmasters do nothing but impede the exhaust flow, especially pushing that much power.

I wouldn't even consider putting shortys on that motor.. it wants LTs BAD!!!
